Working with the well-being of an end user in mind has always been a personal motivator. In my career I have leveraged strong organization skills and technical expertise in molecular biology and assay development to develop, verify, and validate a variety of technologies spanning the product development lifecycle, from ideation through commercialization. Technologies I have been instrumental in developing include genetically modified cell-based sensors for water compliance, paper analytical devices to assess milk quality in low resource areas, and an FDA approved liquid biopsy-based NGS companion diagnostic; all of which have an impact on the well-being of an end user.I am great at learning and applying what I have learned. This is especially evidenced by the diversity of technologies that I have played a role in successfully developing. As a learner, I use my voice to seek out others to learn from, always ask why and how to grow my expertise, and proactively seek out bottlenecks to de-risk my work. I will always seek to support the well being of end users or patients. In the short term, I want to continue leveraging my technical expertise and ability to learn to develop new diagnostics or precision medicine applications; I hope to one day use this experience to lead and mentor others. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, gardening, cars, gaming (board and video), travel, photography, DIY projects, reading, cooking, and painting.Competencies: Molecular Biology, Cancer Genomics, Companion Diagnostics, Client Facing Skills, Analytical Sensors, Experiment Design, Assay Development, Validation, Next-Generation Sequencing NGS, Liquid Biopsy, Writing, Product Development Process (PDP), FDA Documentation, Team Work, cfDNA Plasma Extraction, Automated Workflow, Illumina Sequencing (NovaSeq), Communication, Data Analysis, Project Management Skills, PCR, Cloning, Cell Culture, Instrumentation
