About Jonathan Anderson
It may be cliché, but I love New York. Everything about the city inspires me, from the history to the art to the culture. As an arts and cultural administrator, I do everything I can to further the mission of supporting the arts in the city. I practice the distributed leadership model first pioneered by Dr. Madeleine Adler, where staff members of all levels feel they are a part of the leadership team. I believe that every member of the team has valuable opinions, and distributed leadership invites a more collaborative atmosphere. As an educator and public programs specialist, I excel at creating fun and dynamic programming appropriate for people of all ages. Combining my background of theater and history, I am able to engage visitors with exciting, creative and memorable activities that they will never forget. As founder and Lead guide of the History Couple, I personally research, create and implement historical walking tours all over New York City. In addition to content creation, I also develop relationships with community organizations and businesses to ensure the growth of my company and foster new partnerships as well. To that end, my company has appeared in Food and Wine, Travel and Leisure, New York Magazine, and the New York Metro.
