In my current role with Sellers Dorsey, I am leading the development of our client portfolio in 10 states and territories by identifying and pursuing strategies to deliver millions of dollars in new annual Medicaid revenues to safety-net hospitals and providers. Whether working with a coalition of healthcare systems or one, we strive to implement targeted Medicaid payments to providers who not only serve vulnerable populations, but who can move the needle in terms of expanding access, improving health-equity outcomes, and addressing regional workforce development needs.

In this role, I collaborated on the development of our client portfolio in 10 states and territories, namely by identifying and pursuing viable strategies to implement substantial new Medicaid revenues for various safety-net health systems. These strategies aligned state and federal Medicaid policies with opportunities to address regional healthcare access and workforce needs, and they have ultimately resulted in the delivery of millions of new Medicaid dollars to critical safety-net providers on an annual basis.

In this role, I served as lead Project Manager for several Medicaid financing initiatives, working with 11 clients in 15 months to create and maintain revenue streams of up to $108M in new federal funds for critical Medicaid providers at no cost to their States. My primary responsibilities included leading project plans, conducting all client engagement, developing long-term strategy, and fostering close relationships with state Medicaid officials. In 2020 and 2021, I led successful strategies to protect millions of dollars in Medicaid revenues for our hospital clients against impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this role, I supported five Medicaid financing initiatives for seven clients in four states. These initiatives included designing and implementing Medicaid supplemental payments to critical safety-net hospitals and affiliated physician groups, and my responsibilities included research, client and stakeholder engagement, and ongoing project planning. I also managed the process to draft a proposal for our firm's largest client at the time, which resulted in the next phase of our engagement being executed for several more years.
