Manage a dept consisting of ~15 employees and contractors.• Responsible for architecture, designing, maintaining and operating the Newport News campus, unclassified/classified data and information systems networks. Provide planning, design and administration of data network installation, repair, moves, changes, relocation's, wiring requirements, network infrastructure equipment, data network usage monitoring and reporting, invoice reconciliation, and all other associated data network functions as required. • Responsible for the architecture, design, maintenance and operation of Newport news campus border network security using Firewall protection, Intrusion Detection Systems, Virtual Private Network technology, data encryption, real-time monitoring and logging, and other data security protection processes and practices. • Responsible for the architecture, design and maintenance and operation of the Newport News campus Data Video Teleconferencing, Audio/Visual, and Visualization systems and equipment. • Provide day-to-day guidance and supervision to ensure employee productivity • Establish relationships with suppliers• Develop and set budgets, schedules and performance standards to meet company goals

• Provided Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) transition assistance support to USN sites.• Team lead responsible for directing two persons assisting with cutover of unclassified seats to NMCI.• Responsibilities included: interview USN customers to gather data about existing hardware/software seat configuration; validate seat inventory details and enter into NMCI Enterprise Tool (NET); migrate information from off-line databases and spreadsheets into NET; export NET information to Object Creation Manager data management format; conduct cross-tab queries of existing databases and populate databases; place valid seat orders; and work with Electronic Data Systems to conduct data transfer.
