My name is Jessica Marquez. I am currently a new graduate from American Career College where I obtained an Associate’s degree of Occupational Science in Respiratory Therapy. I’m enthusiastic to become part of an amazing medical team caring for patients, where I may apply my newly developed respiratory skills. I have successfully completed 960 hours of clinical experience, gaining knowledge from varies hospital departments such as: ICU, Pediatrics Subacute, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery. The skills and talents I gained while working for over seven years within the communication/customer service industry has served as a strong transitional tool where I’m able to apply these skills within the medical field by carefully listening to patient’s needs, help and assist in defusing uncooperative and scared patients along with their family members during a traumatic or stressful health event, and to be able to explain medications along with their delivery method or procedures to patients in an effective and understandable manner.
