Affecting positive change in my community and staff is the foundation of my work, and what drives me to continue to learn, grow and commit to community leadership. For the past 15 years I have served in a leadership role for the communities of Squamish, Pemberton and Whistler, and have made the Sea to Sky corridor my home. Acting as a Principal and Vice-Principal across the Sea to Sky district I have been at the forefront of educational change, and have first-hand experience in managing diverse public service teams, leading community engagement process, and delivering on cultural and educational services. I have served on community boards like the Communities that Care, and sat at the provincial table as the president of our Sea to Sky Principals and Vice-principals Association. I seek opportunities to pull people together to enhance the work that we all do to make where we live a better place.* Ts̓qáxa7 Sp̓áq̓em is a Lil’wat name given to me by Tanina Williams. It is a new Ucwalmícwts word that translates into horse flower (dandelion). While these plants are not native to these lands, they are strong, can grow anywhere and have become a resource for the Lil’wat people.
