Ensuring accurate channel calibration, regular hardware maintenance and detailed test documentation is completed. I have to ensure that the dyno software is configured correctly and write automated transient test schedules to meet customer requirements. From the test data, i am required to review and ensure the test units meet specification and liaise with the development department to feedback data for design refinements. Testing can be carried out with external customers present at the facility, which requires a professional and accommodating approach to their needs.Testing carried out requires external hardware such as oscilloscopes, probes, current transducers, power analysers and multimeters. I have been exposed to a wide range of test equipment which has helped to improve my practical testing skills and theoretical knowledge of EV motor basics. The role also requires knowledge of different software systems, such as CADET CP V14.4 which is used to run all of our in-house dyno systems.Inverter control settings will be changed for various motor and total system performance testing. From this I have been able to learn to use software systems for motor controllers to tune for efficiency and improved control. Within the company the testing department is a relatively new branch. As one of the more experienced technicians I have been given the opportunity to now run three of the main test cells within the company and train new employees on the cells. Show less
