I started at FXW in 2007 as a one man shop and have grown a team of 5 experts in K-12 technology operations, pushing the limits of how technology supports teaching and learning. I have built a comprehensive IT services team that spans core network and voice services, database and application administration, customer service and instructional technology support. My team has led successful student information system (SIS), learning management system (LMS), CRM and ERP implementations as well as 1:1 laptop and iPad programs for students. These contributions have put our school on the map as a leader in the use of instructional technology in Chicago. We have helped to power our school's growth; from over 600 to almost 1,000 students, and from a staff of 100 to almost 150 in less than 5 years.Through the use of modern applications, we have also helped to streamline the schools business operations; reducing annual outstanding tuition receivables to their lowest point year-over-year in the school's history.

In my time at AFC, I grew from a technical support role into the role of network administrator. I implemented firewall and spam filtering appliances, Windows imaging and software patching systems as well as a disk based backup solution. Day-to-day I was responsible for administering network services, Windows servers and Citrix server farms. I also provided end user support to on site and remote workers statewide.These contributions helped to ensure that our information systems were in compliance with HIPAA and other state and federal regulations during a time where email based information security threats were growing in sophsitication.

At Elgia, I provided technical support for a global web conferencing application to Fortune 500 clients via telephone and email. I recorded trouble tickets, reviewed feedback forms, coordinated resolution, and provided status reports to Operations Managers. Periodically I would also conduct online training courses for our corporate clients’ web conferencing application.In addition, I performed desktop publishing tasks using Microsoft Word, Publisher, Access and Excel. I also performed digital video editing tasks using Adobe Premiere and other tools as well as videography work at live sporting events, etc.
