About James Mcdonald

For over 16 years I led our nation's Navy Sailors in a variety of fields including aviation, talent acquisition, organizational development, training, and project management in time and asset-constrained environments. The biggest highlight of my Naval career was been helping my team members achieve their personal and professional dreams. For my next adventure I am embarking on a new career as a commercial pilot. I currently hold commercial single engine, multi engine, and instrument ratings. High performance and complex endorsed, experience in several aircraft types including Cessna, Piper, Cirrus, and Flight Design. Currently working on Certificated Flight Instructor and excited to enter the professional aviation world!MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:• Led Oklahoma Navy Recruiting Division to 2018, 2019, and 2021 “Division of the Year” titles, 2021 Large and Small Stations of the Year, Division of the Year, Leading Petty Officer of the Year, Command Sailor of the Year, and Officer Recruiters of the Year 2020 and 2021. • Led several major projects including a complete revamp of an onboarding unit, a review and revamp of training syllabus for the remedial fitness program, and two annual unit training/awards meetings for over 400 members. • Military personal decorations include one Navy Commendation Medal and two Navy Achievement Medals for exemplary service and specific project achievement.
