My next position was at My Marketing Matters, a direct mailing and printing company. I worked mostly with real estate companies and agents creating open house brochures and other various selling points as needed. We dealt with random clients as well doing branding, banners, mailers, and more. I loved the job but was commuting over 4 hours a day on the bus/metro to get to their Gaithersburg location and my heart was still in Florida. I have been in South Florida since the 22nd and am looking for work anywhere along the coast here.

North Palm Beach, Florida

After leaving Fastsigns I moved to Florida for almost a year and worked with Chumney & Associates. They are a high volume ad agency dealing in mostly automotive advertising. I juggled anywhere from 10-30 different car ads, posters, billboards, flash banners, web banners, postcards and various other advertising. I worked with a team of two other print artists, and two web designers. It was a high-paced environment where you constantly were working on multiple high priority deadlines. I had to leave Florida due to a problem with mold in my apartment and was forced to move back to Virginia.

I created and printed banners, vinyl lettering, posters, engraved plaques and signage of many sorts, as well as business cards, menus, and the assistance in the installation of various signage. They also had a slack in business near Christmas time and had to let me go.

After leaving the screen print shop, I worked at Money Saver Media, a direct mail and design company. I used InDesign extensively every day to create menus & menu boards for restaurants, posters, business cards, logos and some work in web design. They had a slack in business and had to cut down my hours. I had to have a full time gig so I took a job at Fastsigns in Rockville, MD.

or my first design job at a screen printing swim shop in Chantilly I used InDesign yearly to create their sales catalog, laying out text and images along with creating the cover design. I used Photoshop and Illustrator daily and am extensively experienced with both. I created logos, t-shirt and other clothing designs, ads, flyers and anything else as needed. I was there close to three years.
