During my time in the team, Jose worked on the architecture and implementation of Rosetta's controller software, the piece of software that orchestrates the configuration of a network of Rosettas that might comprise thousands of switches and hundreds of thousands of compute nodes. Making something that scales to those numbers is not trivial to say the least, but Jose demonstrates all of those qualities that are needed to take up that task; besides technical expertise on distributed systems and sound software engineering practices, Jose has shown his ability to anticipate issues that might occur before those become issues in the first place and adopts a strong pragmatic approach with regards to the trade-offs between business needs and technical excellence of the product.
