• Change monitoring – Investigating changes listed in RM to determine if alarms displayed in Netcool are unsuppressed devices related to a change, and manually suppressing alarms when changes run long, are emergency changes, or are unapproved.• Circuit analysis – Investigating devices connected to provider circuits to determine if they are beginning to degrade and following up with the provider directly when a problem is determined before service is impacted; also following up when alarms show circuit is down or degraded.• Bridge management – Establishing bridges with other support teams when issues occur related to outages to critical systems, applications, devices, and overall sites. Updating Problem Management, advising other groups when they need to join, and managing the Verizon Instant Meeting interface.• IP address management – Creating addresses in QIP, monitoring usage in subnets, verifying proper usage of DHCP addresses.• Server monitoring – Investigating the RIB or VCenter interfaces when a Windows server stops responding and if possible determining the reason for the failure before escalating to support to resolve.
