Special Program Paraeducator
Current- Support students with significant behavioral, social-emotional, and communication needs in specialized programs, including Integrated Social Emotional and Communication & Sensory Programs.- Assist in managing self-contained classrooms for students with intellectual and multiple disabilities, ensuring access to general education opportunities and individualized support.- Implement behavior management plans, de-escalation techniques, and therapeutic strategies to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.- Provide instructional assistance, developed materials, and maintain data collection records to support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).- Facilitate life skills development, including cooking, budgeting, and community access, to prepare students for independent adulthood.- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and team members to deliver tailored educational programs and ensure student success.- Act as a positive role model, promoting dignity, respect, and inclusion for all students.
