Fleet Services Manager
CurrentPowerlink is the transmission services provider for Queensland which owns and operates 15,000kms of network from North Queensland to the New South Wales border. Powerlink provides electricity to almost four million customers including large scale generators and major industrial businesses in transport and resources.My direct accountabilities involve operational and strategic management of the Powerlink fleet including contract management, procurement and implementation of key projects to support business direction.As the Fleet Services Manager at Powerlink, my contribution in strategy development to enhance life time value of assets has provided cost efficiencies, risk management and operational effectiveness to the business.A contemporary focus on customers has helped me to drive change and infuse energy to business directions. Having the ability to work in teams, with customers and individually has added to my success in delivering valued outcomes to Powerlink.Development of solutions between stakeholders including customers, vehicle manufacturers, service providers and Powerlink. Part of the role is to analyse emerging trends to enable the development of principles and implementation of methodology to balance safety, efficiency,operational effectiveness and the environment. Through consistent customer engagement, identifying areas of focus has enabled the roll out of systems, reporting and training to assist customers to enhance the safe and efficient use of fleet. Improving technologies in vehicles has provided new levels of safety and performance however, my consistent focus in shaping user behaviour has continued to ensure improved driver skills.
