There are over 4,600 Church of England primary schools and academies and more than 220 secondary schools and academies. Nearly one in five primary school children are educated in Church of England primary schools.In the Diocese of Gloucester there are 116 Church of England Schools and academies. A great team to be part of - supporting and challenging our schools to provide the best possible learning opportunities and outcomes for all pupils within a distinctively Christian environment.

Headteacher of a vibrant, caring Church of England Aided Primary School in Cuckfield, West Sussex.We have grown from a 1.5 form entry school to a 2 form entry school. We are securely 'good' based on Ofsted's judgement and are very proud to be recognised as an 'outstanding' school at our Church Schools' inspection (SIAMS).I would like to wish the school every success in the future and ask my successor to remember that at the heart of all decisions should be our children and pupils.

Headteacher of a small, rural community primary school in the heart of beautiful East Sussex.The school has three mixed-age classes and a dedicated Reception class to give our children the best possible start to formal education in a nurturing and inspiring learning environment.We undertook a journey from 'satisfactory' to 'good' inspired by the desire to provide the best learning opportunities for our children and to impact on pupils' learning and development in all year groups. Through our extensive build project we were also able to provide improved resources and opportunities for 21st century learning in a Victorian school building.

I took on the part-time Headship of St Mary's School whilst continuing to work at Laughton CP School. This enabled me to support St Mary's who were judged to be 'at risk' by the Local Authority and the Diocese due to a number of issues. This is a lovely school and the Christian ethos is very evident and reflected in the attitudes of the staff, pupils, parents and governors. It was a pleasure to support the school and help in their transition and development to ensure quality first teaching for all pupils.
