Responsible for overseeing 13 Oddbins branches covering North Wales, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire and South Yorkshire. Priorities included maintaining branch standards and high levels of customer service, achieving sales targets, implementing staff training, seasonal planning, customer tastings and managing wholesale growth. In addition, involved in the day-to-day running of a various Oddbins shops while the company went through a period of change post-sale.

A responsible position managing two BA courses, Graphic Design and Illustration and Animation. A hugely varied job that required flexibility, self-direction and prioritisation of workload. Dealing with the administration of both courses this role was the first point of contact for all department academics, visiting professionals and students. Responsible for all PA duties to the head of school, the role involved facilitating new admissions and interviews, maintaining academic records, school budgets and staff contracts.

Working for this busy property company, initially managing 80 let properties in London’s select Chelsea area, then, on moving to the Esher office, managed 60 let properties in the Guildford area. The post demanded high levels of administrative organisation, patience and a large measure of common sense. Remaining calm, and the ability to forge strong relationships quickly were the key to this role.

As part of this highly varied and interesting role, responsibilities included the project management of Architecture Week 1999, building on previous event feedback. This relied upon the ability to plan effectively, use excellent communications and rapport building skills, plus manage this complex project through the various stages to completion.

Maternity leave cover. Working for the academic publishing arm of the Architectural Association, this position involved three main areas of responsibility: sales, press and PR, plus world-wide distribution. Duties ranged from organising book launches and signings of exhibition catalogues, to raising funds for student books through grant applications.

Working for the UK’s leading architectural company, the main responsibilities included responding to all public and international press enquiries, researching and supplying images, plus maintaining the slide library. Assisted architects in preparing for presentations, lectures and project reports, and organised all image reproduction for exhibitions and competitions.
