A member of the universities Senior Leadership team, taking direct responsibility for directing and enabling a portfolio of academic subject disciplines to play a part in delivering the universities ambitions towards enterprise and knowledge exchange.

Developing and delivering a strategy to put the university at the heart of the SME community in the city; creating and exchanging knowledge & skills between business, academics and students. Success was evidenced through the award of the Small Business Charter, the first university in the South to receive this recognition.

Establishing a regional engagement strategy for the university. Fulfilling a part time secondment to help create the Dorset LEP and develop its early economic and skills strategies, working in partnership with Local Authorities, FE Colleges, private training providers and business.

Working within the regional economy to ensure graduates gain the skills required to support economic growth. Devising strategy that created an entrepreneurial culture amongst students and academic staff resulting in a pipeline of start-ups establishing themselves in and around Bournemouth. After developing employer/business engagement strategies working to then establish bespoke business support mechanisms that delivered SME growth and higher level skills.

Supporting Design, Engineering and Computing students during their year in industry. Not only helping students understand their career trajectory, but also working with over 500 businesses based across the UK and Europe to understand how their businesses could grow through investment in innovation and skills

Technical Consultant in PLM Solutions. Embedded with PAG. (Premier Automotive Group). Leading a team to produce real time computer animations to improve vehicle design and production. Specific projects delivered for Jaguar, Aston Martin, Land Rover and F1 teams.

Delivering a £7m capital expenditure programme. Design and commission 3, 4-axis CNC production lines to increase production capacity and capability to meet increased product demand from silicon industry
