Berean Christian Church is one of the largest church chains in the Atlanta-Metro area.As the Drummer my job duties are: learning and executing different genres of music; coming up with new ideas to make the music more progressive and help make the worship experience a more exciting experience; As the Media & Creative Director/Manager/Area Leader, I am expected to give my expertise on how to make the internal and external worship experiences efficient, effective, and excellent for our congregation, musicians, pulpit ministry, internet and television audience, and choirs alike due to the size of the church. I manage the areas of Video, Media Imaging, Audio, Lighting, Creative Team and Technologies. I am also responsible for creating Video Announcements and and Editing our services for television broadcast on a weekly basis. I introduce new protocols and equipment as new standard procedure and educate others on how to effectively use the technology we have. I purchase and also install all of the new introduced equipment which in some cases requires the use of a scissor lift.

I was hired on to Georgia Pacific- Savannah Rivermill at the age of 18 as the youngest person ever hired in our mill. I began as a general laborer working in Palletizing. My job duties were: to keep the Palletizers running for company wide production (palletizers not running downstairs would limit the amount of product that could be produced on the upper level by othe machines.) ; to catch lane jams as needed, understand how each of our 5 Palletizing systems ran, hand-stack boxes if the machines got backed up or if there was a problem with one of the lines, understand and be able to trouble shoot problems with machines and lines concerning prox-swithes,laser-sensors, & barcode readers. Learning as fast as I did, because of a good crew, I was also given the job of the lead operator in maintaing the product schedule which was a very big deal. The scheduling of product to certain lanes dictated how the systems would run during the shift. I was trained on how to use the "robot" which was a different type of palletizer which was a different type of palletizer that acted as a gigantic hand with a complicated working system. I was often called in and given the task of keeping this particular running on different crews as it was was one of our larger customers. I was also trained on operating LGV's which are self driven forklifts which would pull material off of the Palletizers. I did much of my overtime working in shipping/recieving, and materials. I later moved to a machine upstairs which produced napkins. I was the sole operator and responsible for replacing paper-rolls, making sure the cut of the napkin was correct, preparing boxes for loading of the materials, loading the boxes with the napkins at the same time, and making sure that the production goals were met daily.

First Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah is one of the largest historic churches in the city with a rich tradition of spiritual and modern music at the highest level. At First Tabernacle I was the primary drummer under the Reverends Clarence Williams & Paul Taylor during this time period. I was directly under the supervision of Jeremy Walker (Music Director), and Johnnie-Mae Holmes (Minister Of Music). I was responsible for learning all required music, attending rehearsals, and playing for Sunday morning services, Conferences, Revivals, Funerals, Weddings, and any other services the church may have held that demanded or requested my service.

At Platinum Hair & Cuts I began as an apprentice then barber under the owners Roger and Avery Frazier. Job tasks were to promote and build a steady clientele, be able to master and cut all hairstyles specified but the client, maintain a healthy and family oriented atmosphere within the work place for customers, maintain a open line of communication and heathy work relationship with all other staff (was very important because of the broad background of the workers), open and close shop when needed, provide weekly booth rent without fail.

Space Flooring was initially intended to be an after-school job. I was trained on using a forklift and began to stock inventory; pick and pull materials and load trucks for the next days deliveries; do maintenance in the warehouse; take inventory; and file paperwork; I was also taught about the full product lines that we carried/sold and how each product was used. In 2003, I satisfied most of my requirements for graduation a couple of years early and enrolled in the early work release program at the high school I was attending. I then became a full time employee. I was promoted to the warehousemen which demanded that I take more ownership of the warehouse. I kept all of the same prior duties and they just intensified along with being more involved with scheduling LTL.'s and pad trucks, loading and unloading daily material trucks for stocking and transfer, talking more with managers and corporate about new ideas on how to make the warehouse run as effectively as possible and how to implement new procedures, hiring temp. workers for help on days needed, setting up displays in the warehouse and showroom, and driving company trucks and cars to make deliveries. At the same time I began to get more involved with entering orders, talking with customers about their needs for jobs, making daily calls to customers for material scheduling, doing invoices. I was soon promoted to counter sales/customer service. Our company, during my tenure, reached and exceeded quarterly revenue goals and our particular branch was noted to be one of the fastest growing branches in the chain.

Began working at Mr. Alternator & Starter under the owner Joey NeSmith where I was taught and trained on removing alternators and starters from vehicles and rebuilding them for resale. Generators from army tankers were usually sent in from a nearby Air Force Base and required no removal; just rebuilding. I learned all there is to know about the components of alternators, starters, and generators, as well as soldering, sand & bead blasting, and testing for rebuild-accuracy before resale and installation.
