As Operation Manager I’m in charge of Import/Export departments that our customers outsource to us. This requires an exhaustive analyses and a detailed planning of each group of operations, due to we are managing outsourced import/export departments from Construction Companies, and Companies from Food and beverage sector that manage and deal with perishable products. We provide a comprehensive service to our customers, who fully delegate their international trade functions to us, this means that we are in charge of the operations door to door. Moreover, we provide specific studies for the implementation in other markets, we have guided and advised our customers to open companies in other markets or carried out studies to create or choose the most efficient choice of logistics corridors for their sales or supply channels. We also provide consultancy services for fiscal and customs operations of our customers. I believe that we have to be aware of the changes due to them could give opportunities and more efficient operating options, all of that lead with the continuous improvement of the processes.

One of the more important tasks was to get more container traffic for the Port of Barcelona. This is achieved by attracting the traffic of Importing or Exporting Companies to the Port of Barcelona. We were focused on improving the services that the Port could offer, so we keep in contact with a high number of importers/exporters companies to see their needs and provide the best option of services which Port of Barcelona could offer. Moreover we design the promotion strategies of the Port over the importers/exporters companies to attract them. This includes the organization of special events or our exhibition in Trade and logistic fairs. The institutional presence was needed in many important events of the country government, sector clusters and European projects.Also I was in charge of developing the logistics studies of the customers of the Port of Barcelona which contact us for advice or improvement of their logistics and trading operations.
