Responsible for insurance verification, referral management, authorization management, and precertification on all inpatient accounts. The financial counselor acts as a liaison between scheduling departments, Case managers, Revenue cycle, patients, provider's offices and insurance carriers. Provides exemplary customer service in managing all aspects of patient accounts. Collects appropriate monies, notifies patients/provider office staff of billing policies and services. Performs other duties as assigned.
