As a Research Associate, I contributed to the discovery of novel cell-based therapies for neurological disorders. I successfully adopted the differentiation protocol for cortical interneurons (cINs) at different scales and verified cell composition using molecular marker analysis for in-process QC.Prior to that, I completed a CIRM fellowship at Amgen, where I cultured human iPSCs for differentiation into cardiomyocytes to develop an integrated platform to study atrial fibrillation. I also hold M.S and a B.S. in Biochemistry with an ACS certification and have 5+ years of academic and industry research experience. My core competencies include: aseptic cell culture, maintaining and differentiating hESCs/iPSCs, assay development, nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, immunostaining, ICC/IF assays, histotechnology, excellent communication skills, and complying with SOPs. I am passionate about advancing the field of stem cell research and biotechnology and eager to apply my skills and knowledge to new challenges and opportunities.
