The Duties of the Public Relations Director shall be: Develop, document, and oversee the social media strategy for the Section;Coordinate with Section board members, News and Information Director, Website Director, Section YEP subcommittee, Section contractors, and other contributors to publicize Section activities and programs via Section’s official social media channels;Maintain and arrange for posting of Section news and relevant information to the Section’s social media account(s);Review the social media strategy on an annual basis to measure successes and areas for improvement; Promote planning and SVS activities in Sacramento Valley by sharing planning-related news and content on social media; andOversee and administer the budget for Public Relations Director.

Masters of City and Regional Planning assisting with two projects at UC Berkeley's Institute of Urban and Regional Development: 1. investigating the impact of county-level ordinances regulating cannabis cultivation; 2. Coding entitlement dataset that is part of the Comprehensive Assessment of Land Use Entitlements Study (CALES or the CALES). CALES aims to to understand whether and how land use regulations, inclusive of state required environmental review and local planning and zoning ordinances, impact housing supply, using mixed method case study research. The current CALES entitlement data comes from studying twenty jurisdictions throughout the State of California, including eight of California’s ten largest cities, to understand how each jurisdiction treated proposals to develop five or more units of housing.
