A serial entrepreneur, Joanna founded award-winning brand agency We Love Inc in 2008, and then in 2012 she led the founding of Makelight - an innovative mobile special effects & audience insight platform for mobile devices. She won Makelight a place in Telefonica's prestigious Wayra UK academy, the Red Bull Amplify accelerator in 2013 and led the company to win multiple Event Technology Awards for their breakthrough Live Event Technology. Under her leadership, Makelight was named in the UK Startup’s Top 100 list and she was personally named as one of the Top UK Digital Innovators for her achievements.She is an international speaker on creative and music technology, having spoken at such events as SXSW (Austin), SF Music Tech Summit (San Francisco), Audience Access Affair (NYC), BIME (Spain), Podim (Slovenia), Eurosonic (Holland), and Tech Entrepreneurs Week and Wired conference in London among others. She has also guest lectured at City University/Cass Business School's Masters of Entrepreneurship.In her role at Bild Studios, Joanna works as Chief Commercial Officer and has been instrumental in launching MARS Volume, which is now the UK's fastest growing Virtual Production facility, and MARS Academy - world leading and multi-awarded virtual production training. She is responsible for developing Bild's strategic partnerships and building commercial pipelines to supercharge growth.
