In my role as Industry Engagement Coordinator, I am responsible for the development of relationships, and engagement with, industry partners to build awareness and understanding of, and advocacy to further the mission of Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre. In addition to this, I also develop the communications strategies for the Centre, utilising a variety of communication channels and a range of traditional and digital media tools, to raise the profile of the Centre.

As Communications and Engagement Coordinator for the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre, I am responsible for coordinating a range of communication activities targeting internal and external audiences through a variety of channels, and a range of traditional and digital media tools. Through my work I aim to increase engagement with audiences and to raise the profile of the Centre, its research and its team members.

I have volunteered my time as Communications Coordinator with Short Back & Sidewalks (SBSW) since early 2018. In this role I am responsible for the digital and traditional communications channels and strategy, including redeveloping the SBSW website, launching a highly successful t-shirt fundrasing campaign and creating a monthly newsletter for donors and supporters.

In this role I was responsible for preparing meaningful communications material for donors and supporters in line with the stewardship strategy and ECU's strategic direction including reports, websites, newsletters, and flyers. I also worked with the team to develop and implement strategies to improve organisational visibility and public relations activities. This role was a parental leave cover.

I joined the Centre for Social Impact at the University of Western Australia (CSI UWA) in 2019, bringing my skills in communications, media, marketing and events to this great team. I was privileged to work on marketing and communications for the Social Impact Festival 2019 (15-20 July) as well as promoting new research and partnerships for CSI UWA.

As communications coordinator I was responsible for developing and executing innovative and professional marketing and communications content that promotes the Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC) and Centre for Social Research in Health (CSRH). This included generating content for digital platforms, creating and publishing website content and the development and design of marketing and communications content and collateral (including publications, social media, advertising copy and EDMs).

Working in digital communications, I assisted in the development and delivery of communications for the Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC) and Centre for Social Research in Health (CSRH), in consultation with the Communications Coordinator and Centre staff. This included creating and maintaining website content, building and distributing email campaigns, running social media accounts and designing research reports and other publications.

Management of the Yahoo7 Entertainment division, which includes setting the editorial and social media strategy for a portfolio containing the Yahoo entertainment channels of celebrity, movies and music. It also includes guiding online editorial strategy across leading entertainment magazine titles WHO, FAMOUS and New Idea as well as stakeholder management with Pacific Magazines counterparts working on these titles in print. Reporting and analysis to guide editorial strategy and meet monthly audience and revenue targets as well as aligning to company goals.

Management of the Yahoo7 Entertainment division, which includes setting the editorial strategy for Yahoo7 Entertainment channels of celebrity, movies and music. Management of a junior entertainment producer. Reporting and analysis to structure editorial strategy and meet monthly audience and revenue targets.

Creating digital content including writing daily and breaking entertainment news stories, creating photo galleries, conducting on-camera celebrity interviews; creating and distributing the Yahoo7 Entertainment newsletter. Top line reporting responsibilities.
