I'm a Senior at DePaul University, starting to look for roles in the broadcast journalism industry. I'm double majoring in Communications & Media, & Spanish in hopes that this will allow me to report stories from a wide range of communities. I aspire to be a voice for the marginalized, particularly in these trying times. After receiving my Associate's Degree in Mass Communications, I decided I would like to expand on my skillset as a journalist. I enjoy every layer of covering a story, from the initial brainstorm/pitch to the execution of interviewing and fleshing my draft into a final piece with a message. The technical courses I've taken on editing and creating short documentaries have helped hone the skills necessary to bring such stories to life. Now I would like to put those skills to use at an organization where I can showcase my talent and ambition at being a multi-faceted journalist.
