In my current role I work with stakeholders within stores, Dot Com Centres and Distribution Centres in my region to drive standards in quality, hygiene and safety.I am also a qualified and experienced Environmental Health Officer who is registered with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board. My specialisms are food safety and health and safety. I have experience in inspecting all categories of food premises, including high risk premises such as hospitals and approved premises. I have also undertaken the full range of reactive work including investigation of food complaints; premise hygiene complaints, and large complex outbreaks of food poisoning. I have taken a lead role in infectious disease control, and in the co-ordination of food sampling. As well as having had the opportunity to use a range of enforcement powers during my career, the education of businesses and the public has also played a large part and I have engaged in various project work and promotional activities. I hold the Chartered of Institute of Environmental Health Professional Trainer Certificate and have experience in delivering the Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering. My health and safety experience includes the use of interventions ranging from full health and safety inspections of workplaces to topic based inspections focusing on specific premise sectors. I am also experienced in dealing with health and safety service requests and investigating accidents at work. I have undertaken a range of vocational courses and have a full and compliant CPD record. I have a City & Guilds in Energy Awareness, and an Institute of Leadership & Management Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management.
