As a judge for the Taste Canada Awards I have also reviewed some of Canada’s best cookbooks while also testing several recipes from each book.As a seasoned secondhand shopper, I published a blog called SecondhandSavvy.ca. This is where I like to write about many different aspects of the secondhand culture. Goodly Foods is a social enterprise that makes soups, stews and sauces by repurposing surplus produce and creating unique community employment opportunities. The program provides training and jobs to individuals with barriers to employment, by partnering with H.A.V.E. Culinary Training Society. Contracted as the Operations Specialist, was involved in moving operations from being a small pilot project to a fully functioning start up food processing business. Role was part operations, part project and event management, part sales/marketing/communications, part procurement, and part administration with an emphasis on working collaboratively with multiple partners and stakeholders.

Coordinated all aspects of Minerva’s Women Leading the Way™ year-long leadership program for nine cohorts (230 mid-career women) and three cohorts of the Leaders in Transition Program (67 senior women leaders exploring retirement options). Ensured monthly sessions ran smoothly for both participants/facilitators and coordinated monthly guest speakers and panelists (averaged about 45/program). Managed Minerva’s Education Awards for two years, working with over 30 donors to distribute 69 awards to 163 recipients, totaling over $300K to 23 colleges and universities across BC.•Organized the provincial Changing the Face of Leadership Conference in 2013 with over 225 delegates and 32 speakers and panelists.
