I’ve been an Independent Non-Executive Director since 1 January 2020. My current board roles include FTSE 250 Listed Companies as well as other Listed and Private companies. I specialize in the Asset Management sector and also sit on the Board of operating companies. I have significant experience in Audit, Risk and valuations as well as Private Equity, Hedge, Real Estate, Debt, Utilities and Renewables.I am the immediate past Chair of Guernsey Investment & Funds Association and am the current Deputy Chair of Guernsey International Business Association. These roles ensure that I remain at the top of my game and am informed as to the current topical items and the challenges and opportunities facing the Financial Services sector in Guernsey and further afield. Prior to becoming an Independent Non-Executive Director, I spent 20 years at PwC. My roles there included being the signing Audit Engagement Leader for blue chip financial services clients (predominantly focusing on Listed and Private Equity) as well as leading Risk & Quality, Controls Assurance and Innovation & Technology.I have significant experience in the board room considering strategic (vision, purpose and people), operational (controls and financial) and compliance matters, responding to challenges and managing risks. I am technically strong and have great interpersonal skills. I am passionate about what I do, am open-minded and enjoy working with a range of clients to find a solution that works for them. I am calm under pressure and am driven to deliver results. I like to understand stakeholders’ expectations and manage competing priorities whilst ensuring that overall objectives are achieved. I appreciate that diverse skills and experience make a team stronger, and that collaboration, transparency, trust and communications are intrinsic to success.
