I have diplomas in Business and in Marketing, have completed certificates in AFP's Fundamentals of Fundraising, How Fundraising Works, Event Planning, Building a Great Volunteer Program, attended AFP's 2010 Congress and am currently working towards my CFRE certification. I possess more than 10 years experience in event planning, community engagement and relationship development including, but not limited to, the start up and running of an annual softball tournament for the Toronto Fire Department which raised money for families of fallen firefighters, taken the lead in organizing all aspects of an annual walkathon to raise money and awareness for an organization supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, and organized the B.E.A.T. Cancer Ride, Pink Ribbon Campaign, Taking Steps Against Breast Cancer, Daffodil Days Campaign, Residential Canvass and 2 Relay For Life events in York Region for the Canadian Cancer Society. While working with DeafBlind Ontario Services I have organized their signature Indulge Your Senses events in communities throughout the province, conceived and executed their inaugural Dining In The Dark event and worked with and supported community partners with their third-party events while recruiting and managing all volunteers including the Board of Directors and Board Committees throughout the province of Ontario.I believe my creativity, communication and relationship building skills are what allow me to be successful in an event coordinator role.
