I am a community oriented relationship builder who believes that food can be a vehicle for social change. I saw this in action when I co-created Seeds For Change in 2010, a not-for-profit organization that developed and implemented community food gardens in schools and under-utilized land across York Region. In my current role as the Director of Operations at the York Region Food Network, I embed food justice, inclusion and diversity into all our programs, including our training and hiring practices. I foster an environment where people are empowered to do their best, motivated to create solutions and feel their actions can make a positive impact. Outside of work, you can find me connecting with family and friends, rock climbing, eating at my favourite local spots or trying out a new recipe with a 90's playlist in the background.
