• Following the invitation from my advisors, got a research grant to extend my Master's thesis duration and further investigate the research I did as a trainee
• Working with the LLVM compiler infrastructure to gather information about kernels at compile time in order to use data-streaming mechanisms to decouple memory access from execution

• Investigated new coarse-grained reconfigurable architectures (CGRA) and execution models to leverage the information gathered at compile time to accelerate kernels efficiently
• Implemented a new CGRA based on Gemmini, an open-source DNN accelerator framework, that allows the execution of arbitrary dataflows on the accelerator, enhancing versatility and adaptability
• Experimented with using the FPGA infrastructure available at Amazon EC2 for running cycle-accurate simulations, enabling the fast evaluation of the resulting processing structure
• Developed a companion program to facilitate workload generation and configuration assembly into binary files, streamlining the design space exploration

• Provided guidance for the expansion of an MPI-based HPC cluster
• Implemented highly efficient and scalable BeeGFS-based distributed storage system
• Enhanced the InfiniBand network infrastructure to fully leverage the capabilities of the new storage solution
• Conducted a comprehensive survey of the existing cluster, documenting architecture, components, configurations, and newly implemented systems; this documentation streamlined troubleshooting and future maintenance
