Hello, my name is João Ribeiro and I am a full-stack web developer who loves both the front-end and the back-end 👋I am currently studying Systems Analysis and Development by the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul - PUCRS. I've been learning more about the fundamentals of programming, new languages, and also about project management, with a degree focused on both full-stack web development and mobile development.My passion for programming comes ever since I had my first contact with a code, in C++ and focused on solving calculus problems, during my course in Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Since then I have been learning more and more about programming and making a career transition to the technology area 👨‍💻🖥️ That being said, I decided to take a break from the college and subscribed to an intensive course at Driven about Full Stack Web Development. In these intense 9 months, in a course with over 1200h, I learned a lot about teamwork, people skills, programming and agile methodologies. Highlights of my path to becoming a software engineer include:• Self-teaching and fast learning new skills and programming languages;• Problem solving and logical thinking through the development of algorithms;• Knowledge about HTML, CSS, React.JS, JavaScript, TypeScript, noSQL (MongoDB), SQL (PostgreSQL), Node.JS, Git / GitHub, Express.JS, ORM (Prisma), tests (Jest and Supertest);• At the moment learning Java and SpringBoot;• Over 25 projects using the technologies described above;• Team projects using agile methodologies (SCRUM) and sprints organized using Trello / Notion / Slack / Discord;• People skills;• Good GitHub and coding practices, such as semantic commit messages, clean code principles KISS, DRY, YAGNI;• Usage of back-end and front-end architectures.Now, as a full-stack developer, I would like to join a company so I can learn more about the professional environment and market practices, as well as learn new technologies and skills with people more experienced than me, creating a good networking.Learn more about my projects at https://github.com/JoaoVitorRPContact me on gmail: joaovrp.mec.ufsc@gmail.comOr send me a message on LinkedIn, I'm open to offers!
