Moova is a tech startup seeking to disrupt last-mile eCommerce deliveries that secured a $10M+ Series A investment round from several leading VC Funds (including Movile, FJ Labs, Endeavor, Kalei, Matterscale, among others) and that launched in October 2019 (100+ employees and operating in 8+ countries). The company is aggressively expanding all over Latin America.As Head of People & Culture, I was responsible for designing experiences throughout the entire employee lifecycle seeking to maximize the company’s eLTV & eNPS while providing a high-quality and intrinsically motivating employee journey in all its stages.We designed a Results-Oriented Work Environment through a culture that operated from autonomy, mastery, purpose, remote work, and asynchronous communications. Among other projects, I focused on: building the people team from scratch, developing our employer branding strategy, headcount planning through GAP analysis, headhunting for top talent throughout the region, leading the talent acquisition team towards tripling our headcount, designing the pre-onboarding and the onboarding experiences, developing a culture book (including defining the company’s core values), crafting different remote team-retrospective activities, crafting an exciting career journey system with both horizontal and vertical growth opportunities, and developing a holistic performance management system based on OKRs and continuous check-ins.

MyZone Media is a Canadian agency with 100+ employees fully distributed around the world and a fully remote work environment. The company provides marketing, web development, and ticketing services. MyZone is also developing a new SaaS platform that will revolutionize the way agencies around the world organize their work and projects.As head of People, I was in charge of designing the entire employee journey, identifying areas in the employee experience where we could have the most impact (across the entire lifecycle).Some of the projects included: Launching a new performance management system, redesigning our attraction and recruitment strategies to become a talent magnet, re-making our entire onboarding experience, improving the offboarding process, and crafting new initiatives around employee engagement like a recognition program, a new 360° feedback program, new team retrospectives, the creation of our values book, and training everyone on several crucial EQ skills.

Fully Remote

I recruited for different companies all over the world as a freelancer during 2018, 2019, and 2020. I started by leveraging on my previous hiring experience to help a startup find top sales talent, it then became a part-time activity I did over the weekends (generally one or two positions a month).I managed to attract AAA profiles from industry-leading companies like Uber, Mercado Libre, Havas, Ogilvy, Glovo, Rappi, Amazon, and Eventbrite, finding them new exciting (mostly fully remote) challenges for fast-growing startups in different countries all over the world.

Amlog is a Supply Chain Management company with offices throughout Latin America thatoversees international supply chain operations for several Forbes 500 companies includingsome of the biggest exporters in the continent.My focus in Amlog was implementing programs, systems and practices thatfundamentally transformed employee engagement and all people metrics. This includedrecruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits, diversity,recognition, feedback, career development, alignment, wellness, and ambassadorship. Allthrough a transparent HR approach involving/exciting the employees in every step of the way.

As Amlog’s process specialist (Jan 16 – Jul 16), I participated in the design and coordination of the company’s BPM. I also recertified ISO qualifications leading a team of three top industry engineers, Kaizen experts & CSSGB’s. Among our main contributions were the diagnosis and modelling of all company processes with BPMN 2.0 language compliance, coordination of continuous improvement teams (combining six sigma and agile methodologies) and the creation of automated dashboards for measuring corporate KPI’s.

I was team leader for the company’s financial area (Mar 15 – Jan16 // 5 direct reports). During this time, I managed the company’s cash flow exceeding liquidity goals, transformed the department’s mindset towards an internal services center and reduced substantial financial losses through the introduction of several audit scorecards.

ExxonMobil, mainly an oil & gas company, is Forbes 100 2nd biggest company in the world. I worked as a cultural program administrator (wellness) presiding over five forums in renowned convention centers (audiences of 700 -1600 employees), participated in the program’s annual budget creation process and gave onboarding training to new hires, and worked with a team all over the world migrating the cultural program to other ExxonMobil sites.Before this, I spent a short time auditing royalties and revenues from Canadian Oil Fields.
