About Jo Cox
I co-founded Effective Creative to provide strategy, creative and fundraising services to charities and socially-driven enterprises. It’s my privilege to deliver comms that work, for work that matters. I am proud to do so whilst charging only for the insight, imagination and impact clients really need.This role draws on my experience as a Creative Director at a third-sector creative agency, Head of Marketing for an international arts charity, and as a director, creative lead and strategist. I have worked with some of the biggest, and smallest, charities in the U.K., providing almost every form of content and approach to support their engagement, acquisition and stewardship goals across all fundraising streams.As a former Theatre Director I'm particularly passionate about arts organisations and societal change through culture, but enjoy working for a wide variety of causes and collaborating with our broad range of organisations. Highlights included:- successfully pitching to create a Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity radio advert. This legacy ad, for a cause very close to my heart, was developed with colleagues in house, recorded by David Tennant, and released February 2023,- successfully pitching, developing and writing a new legacy TV ad for Guide Dogs,- helping to deliver a five year strategy which will support the sustainable income streams and provide the stewardship processes to sustain a small charity, and- developing a deeper understanding of philanthropic giving and the role of HNW individuals in the current charitable giving climate through collaborative work with the Creative Director.
