I have over five collective years of customer experience and experience working with those who are vulnerable in our society, as well a certificate from my high school in bilingualism. I graduated from the University of Windsor in 2019, with a degree in Criminology and Women & Gender Studies.Through my program at the University of Windsor I have been able to learn about intersectionality as it relates to our the global and local community, moreover the complexities of working with those from different backgrounds. Being a bystander facilitator with the University of Windsor has given me the experience and confidence to speak in front of large groups, as well be able to de-escalate situations that perhaps may become volatile due to the sensitivity of the information. Also through this position I have learned to be an active listener and demonstrate empathy and understanding to those who are vulnerable. I am very dedicated to learning and growing further in my knowledge and how it pertains to Windsor-Essex as a whole. My presence on campus through various organizations has only grown my intense attention to detail and community focus, trouble shooting abilities, self-management and the management of others, along with teamwork.
