For the first three years at Our Sisters school I was both a classroom teacher for grades 7-8 and the Volunteer Coordinator. My primary responsibility as the Volunteer Coordinator were to coordinate and manage the school’s volunteer network of parents,students and community members. I recruited volunteers and managed the database of potential, active and past volunteers as well as performing all volunteer training and scheduling. As of September 2017 I began teaching grades 5-8 science as well as serving as an adviser and advocate for several students. As the department head I support the development of all grade level curriculum, vertical alignment, unit planning and pacing guides.

I am responsible for scheduling staff for all education based activities at the OE. This includes when we are open to the public, field trips, outreach events, and specialty events. I am in charge of updating our Science on a Sphere(TM) schedule and scripts to ensure that our docents are using the most current and up to date science when presenting information to the public. I am also working directly with the Education Coordinator in updating field trip curriculum to reflect both MA and NGSS standards.
