From a young age, I knew I was destined to pursue a career in education. I vividly remember staying in a peaceful classroom during recess to read books. This memory has fueled my lifelong dream of becoming the best teacher I could be! I am a second-year teacher at Allen Middle School teaching 7th-grade, as well as coaching for the Heart and Sole program, advising the Reading Club, and serving on the SAT team. I want to be involved as much as possible both in and out of the classroom. I believe that my role as a teacher is to ensure students are being challenged to become the best versions of themselves that they can be. Becoming an educator has been a dream come true, and nothing motivates me more every day than the thought that I can help a student and push them to grow in ways they could've never imagined. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading and crafting book reviews, upcycling things I thrift and find, as well as long-distance running. I am also frequently using my teaching Instagram, @misswallaceteaches.Please feel free to reach out, I am always looking to network with other professionals and swap tips and tricks with other educators!

Club AdvisorWest Shore School District Sep 2023 - PresentCamp Hill, Pennsylvania, United StatesFor the first time in Allen Middle School history, there is an interscholastic Reading Competition Team. These events typically involve teams of students answering questions about books they have read. The interscholastic reading competition team aims to promote a love for reading, enhance reading comprehension skills, and encourage teamwork and collaboration among students.Members of the team read a selection of books, often chosen from a predetermined list or a specific genre, and thoroughly study the content.
