In Longitudinal Studies, I clean and analyse data to create a newsletter that contains statistics and information about the study participants. I also support longitudinal data users by managing dataset access applications. When I worked in the Women’s Safety Group, I created infographics and summaries effectively communicating key statistics and insights.

In this role I have successfully completed procurement processes as well as managed internal and external stakeholder relations. I manage 25 residents within an ANU campus building. I conduct fortnightly check-ins where I provide information about the latest events on campus, within the resident halls and in the local community. I plan and run residential building events. Another part of my role is to do overnight shifts were I monitor the whole building.

In this assistant position I have obtained a hands-on experience with a range of instruments from small portable telescopes to 16-inch domes, in addition to astrophotography and radio imaging. Part of this role requires explaining scientific concepts to the general public which demands an ever-growing astronomical knowledge.

Fiji

Over an intensive two week stay in Fiji my group and I conducted the first ever statistical analysis of counselling services that are provided by Empower Pacific. The report that the team wrote provided invaluable information for the organization, as they used it to adjust their staff allocation, method of suicide follow-ups, and apply for additional.

During this 10-week placement I worked as part of a duo that created ‘use cases’ for Data Central. These use cases are to be operated by the general public to obtain data from any of the astronomical surveys that Data Central provides. Every tool and survey that was available within Data Central at the time of this project has been included.

Over this 5-week project I worked with a team to create Macquarie University’s new echelle spectrograph. I cleaned, transformed and modified code which created a data pipeline that would produce an astronomical image of the desired spectrum
