Senior advocate and program manager for the Climate Displacement Program at Refugees International. As an independent non-profit research and advocacy organization, we have been at the vanguard of the climate displacement field for fifteen years. I also research how community engagement in local climate adaptation decision-making affects resiliency and adaptation outcomes, with an interest in how to create infrastructures for meaningful inclusion and participation of frontline communities in decision-making about climate adaptation policies; how climate change affects migration patterns; supporting displaced communities further affected by impacts of climate change; mobility as climate adaptation; how cities, indigenous communities, and other non-state actors are playing a role in national and international policymaking on migration and climate policy; and more.
