I was involved to all aspects of the business including;• Advising clients on the recovery of their entitlements to party/party costs in the Magistrates, County and Supreme Court Jurisdictions. • Assisting at mediations and taxations of costs in the Supreme Court Costs Court.• In house appointments with clients of the firm, largely being Slater and Gordon and Shine Lawyers who provide instructions to Blackstone Legal Costing to assess and recover costs on their behalf.• Experienced the process’ involved with being an independent legal costs lawyer including o Balancing client expectations whilst preparing and negotiating fair and reasonable costs assessments in accordance with scales of costs. o Preparation and drafting of advices and assessments o Detailed understanding of WorkCover Pre-Litigated Claims, Legal Costs Orders and other relevant legislation. o Attendance on clients
