HR & ODEvery business has it’s own challenge to produce results. The challenges are different for different organizations because they are in different phase of maturity. The organization I am working with has been going through a transformation stage. There are different dimensions of transformation, 80 % year on year growth, integration of products, technology leadership, world market opportunity, integration of geographies and to become Indian MNC, given us a platform to take various change initiatives. To address the business needs the strategy is to line up HR activities in five major themes. They are: Adptiveness (Attention towards Change - assessments and planning), Leadership Capacity (Attention towards visioning and alignment of capabilities), Management (Attention towards optimization of resources), Technical Capacity (Best Product or services in minimum lead time to internal and external customers) and Generation Capability (Involving the external environment with business). I worked on the first two themes. Three major initiatives are: a) Engagement Survey, b) Leadership Capability Building, c) Effective Performance Management System.
