Contribute to and lead preparation of Council's Infrastructure and Asset Management Plan for the 10 year long term financial plan.Oversee and manage various project and contracts within Engineering and Environment Division including streetscapes, road construction, stormwater, car parks, shared paths and buildings.Prepare contract documents and manage tender processes for project and procurement.Provide technical resource and assistance to the community, inter-governmental and internal Council customers.

The project includes the design and construction of ‘Beddown Infrastructure Facilities’ for the 10 C-17 aircraft ordered by the Indian Air Force, located at Hindan Airforce base, near New Delhi.• Provide assistance for construction queries coming from site including daily technical site inspections, Non-conformance reports and management of Requests for Information to design team. • Provide support to civil construction staff including the balancing of workload and assignment of priorities, and review of work outputs.• Review and auditing of construction methodologies to ensure compliance with both designs and specifications.• Performance of technical training of site personnel to ensure compliance with civil specifications for the construction of quality airfield pavements. • Client liaison for the quality of civil construction.

• As part of the Infrastructure, Planning & Design team working closely with Engineering Services to plan, manage and maintain Council's civil assets including roads, bike paths, footpaths, carparks and level crossings.• Liaison with stakeholders and obtaining authority approvals from external agencies.• Development of policies, standard Specifications and Drawings

• Provide first point of call assistance for construction queries coming from site including daily Site inspections, Non-conformance reports and management of Requests for Information to design team. • Management of the Airside Construction Support Staff including the balancing of workload and assignment of priorities, and review of work outputs.• Review and auditing of Construction methodologies including the review and approval of method statements to ensure compliance with both designs and specifications.• Performance of technical training of site personnel to ensure compliance with civil specifications for the construction of quality airfield pavements. • Client liaison for the quality of civil construction.• Research, investigation and trialling of new products for use on the project including their incorporation into various specifications and method statements.• Development and delivery of training modules for Airfield Design Engineers.

• Assist in the development, implementation and review of policy and procedures necessary for the delivery of the most appropriate airfield infrastructure supporting ADF military capability and preparedness levels• Review project documentation for compliance and provide technical engineering advice for airfield engineering aspects of Defence Estate projects• Under limited supervision, assist in managing a range of Defence Estate civil engineering responsibilities, such as the implementation of a technical regulatory framework, and other strategies associated with the delivery of airfield infrastructure• Participate in the inspection of ADF airfield pavements and subsequent determination of maintenance programs• Provide technical oversight oversight of various facilities projects from contractor selection through to delivery and handover
