Responsible for collaboratively setting the strategic direction and executing all aspects in the Ingersoll Rand global facilities management commodity and supporting the continuing development of the capital equipment and tooling commodities. Working directly with our suppliers, engineers and commodity managers to develop our processes to understand our tooling cost, identify our best tool resources globally, partner with our commodity leaders and NPD teams on new tooling needs, develop our tool costing models and deliver on our tool management system for asset tracking.

Responsible for leading sourcing efforts and achieving all aspects of the agreed upon quality/performance, schedule and cost goals of assigned projects. Types of Projects range from NPD, Material Productivity, Product Transfers/Footprint, and Localizations. Managing risk (identification, contingency and mitigation planning/management), providing accurate cost targets for projects as directed. Leading target cost development for future projects and participating in technology road mapping and future product planning as required. Identify and resolve, with the team, any potential deviations from the approved project plan. Manage the critical path to achieve agreed upon milestones on time.

Responsible for leading the supplier selection and management process for new products. Implementation of sourcing strategies to achieve corporate objectives.

Responsible for lifecycle cost in commodities and services. Acted as Supply Management representative for all significant product integrations along with facilitation of resourcing supply bases to low-cost country locations in accordance with global manufacturing strategy of corporation. Awarded new platform business based on contract negotiations, resulting in over $1mm in savings over life of contract. Payment terms improvement from N30 to N75, supplier-owned and managed inventory program, and 5% year-over-year cost savings (based on $5mm in annual spend). Acted as Supply Management representative for new product introduction on global platform that resulted in on-time product launch with product coming in on average $425 under budget. Estimated platform sales at over $11mm with cost savings pre-launch at over $1mm.Revitalized "phase out" supplier relationship, negotiating preferred-supplier status that resulted in improved payment terms, supplier-owned and managed inventory program, and 3% year-over-year cost savings that exceeded $220K (based on $1.35mm in annual spend).Achieved best over-total lifecycle cost in commodities and services, improving corporation's financial performance.Supply Manager Aftermarket (2006 - 2007)Responsible for both international and domestic sourcing of aftermarket commodities, as well as supporting manufacturing on numerous OEM products. Supply Management liaison for SWAT team, cross-functional team in pursuit of reduced costs through VA/VE techniques or other enablers.Coordinated supplier VA/VE event in Puerto Rico that identified approximately $5mm in savings opportunities across multiple commodities. Managed Minneapolis supplier VA/VE event for trailer product, involving 12 suppliers and resulting in generation of $3.5mm in cost savings ideas. Identified $1.5mm in savings against total spend of $18mm that exceeded gross productivity goal of $48,000.

Responsible for both international and domestic sourcing of tools, equipment, finished goods, castings, formed metal products, printed circuit boards, and plastics. Managed $53mm in annual purchases for 2005 with cost savings of $850,000.Projected direct 2006 purchases of $48mm with projected cost savings of $1.7mm.Managed key supplier relationships that increased Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and mitigated negative PPV through contracts and process improvements, along with supplier rationalization and consolidation. Achieved year-over-year cost savings, while maintaining sufficient inventory levels and improving first order fill.
