Giuseppe D’Orsi is an architect, photographer and graphic designer. A multifaceted figure of Italian design, his aim is to connect the wide and manifold world of design and visual communication to the whole spectrum of contemporary art.After having learnt from the great masters of the field and having collaborated for many years with Oliviero Toscani, his main inspirational figure, over the years he has curated publishing, design, fashion, video production, exhibitions and corporate image projects, while working with some of the most acknowledged international brands, such as Toyota, Artemide, Kataweb, San Carlo, Genertel, Rare, And, Cocif, Sebach, Viceversa, Aldo Coppola, F.C. Inter, Brandolin Dottor Group, Fiera di Milano, supermercati Pam e Panorama, Chiamamilano, Miscela D’Oro, Skira, Coop, Almar, Unipol, ASAlaser, Electrolux, Vetri Speciali.After more than eighteen years of experience in the world of visual communication and design, he currently works as creative director for many companies, in Italy and abroad, and he is the recipient of international prizes such as the International Design Award, the European Design Award and the Creative Award.In 2003 in Paris he has been part of the team for the publishing on the volume dedicated to celebrate the 30 years of world wide known French newspaper Libération. During the same year he designed the book “12 agosto 1944. Sant’Anna di Stazzema. I bambini ricordano” published by Feltrinelli Editore. A year later he designed “Gay Pride - L’Histoire” published by Scali Editions (Paris). Since 2015 he is the creative director of the Italian publishing house Safarà Editore.Judoka and artist, he is the author of the art book “La creatività è un pesce” (Safarà Editore 2015). «Creativity is a widespread light. You need to concentrate it in an intimate space to understand the strength of its effects. I believe that a designer of our times has to be a true art builder».
