Charity Link Project CoordinatorThe Passage Jun 2019 - Dec 2020Brighton & Hove, England, United KingdomMy focus was on supporting Brighton & Hove (that's the local authority, local charities, faith organisations, community groups and others!) to get better at coproducing homelessness projects and services with people with experience of homelessness.In 2020, whilst coordinating a meal delivery service for people experiencing homelessness living in the 'Everyone In' hotels, I co-founded a creative Zine that aimed to create a community and alleviate the mental health struggles of the hotel residents. Also in lockdown, I built the foundations for a Peer Research Network that advocates for people with lived experience of homelessness to be taking the lead in analysing what's needed locally, being consulted and creating solutions based on evidence and experience.I spent a lot of time in this role building informal connections and encouraging collaboration between different people and projects trying to support people experiencing homelessness. I mapped a lot of these projects in an open document which formed the basis for the online directory Street Support Brighton & Hove.In what was a very varied role, I also hosted events and conversations including on neurodiversity for the Frontline Network and on death for Homeless Link. -
