I have been employed by General Motors since 1972. In 1980 I was appointed to the position of a GM/UAW Benefit Plans Representative. In this position I handle hourly employee and retiree benefit concerns.Since 1980 I have been a strong community volunteer. I believe a quality community can only prosper under a community of volunteers who make things happen. Giving back should be in everyone's bucket list.In 1993, I was elected to the Defiance City School Board of Education. I served two terms. In 1996, I was elected school board president.In 2001, I was elected as an At-Large Councilman for the City of Defiance. I served 3 terms as a councilman. I believe a life lived well should include runiing for public service.At age 60, my wife and I are looking forward to my retirement from GM in the near future and enjoying life.
