I have been a sculptor for over 25 years, creating minimalist artwork primarily in wood and metal. I've received regional and state grants for my art and am represented in many museum, private and corporate collections. I've exhibited my work throughout Florida as well as in Atlanta, New York, Hawaii and Paris. I'm interested in opportunities to show nationally, internationally and create site specific works. I generally work with wood beams and try to use salvaged timbers when possible.Although I primarily make wall-hung, interior sculptures I have also translated my approach to concrete. Whether concrete or wood, my tendency towards minimalism is enlivened by textures that make the work engaging. The sculptures are balanced and meditative which compliments a variety of settings. I have worked with architects and designers to create site-specific sculptures for private residences, hospitals, libraries and lobbies of buildings. Since the use of spatial relationships and a reverence for materials are central to my work, the sculptures have an architectural feel to them. I enjoy working on commissioned pieces and taking specific elements of a particular site into consideration. Specialties: Geometric, site-specific sculpture
