Designed, built, and tested a 3:1 bevel gearbox that was the centerpiece of the four-wheel drive system. Utilized SolidWorks, Design-for-Manufacture, drawing reviews, and FEA to facilitate smooth production with bearing fit tolerances of half a thousandth of an inch. A final redesign informed by precise test planning and failure analysis implementation led the gearbox to surpass its design limits and was retired at twice its expected lifetime.
