For over 18 years as a Utah real estate agent, I kept encountering the same issue: homeowners knew their homes would sell for more if they invested in repairs and updates, but they often couldn’t due to lack of time, knowledge, confidence, contractor connections, or money.Early in my career, I couldn’t help much, so we listed homes knowing they’d sell for less. But as I gained experience and resources, I started offering more value—advising on repairs, connecting clients with contractors, and even covering renovation costs upfront for a higher commission at closing.Clients were thrilled, referrals poured in, and it was a win-win. But as I kept seeing homes listed by other agents that needed a little TLC, and watched those homes sit on the market, then drop in price until finally selling for far less than they were worth, the idea hit me: What if I started a full-service business to offer these solutions to all agents and homeowners?That night, I shared the idea with my family, and we brainstormed the name “Make It Market Ready.” Soon after, I partnered with David Bennion and Sam Willis to build our company. It’s been so rewarding to really make a difference as we pursue our mission to improve lives, homes, and neighborhoods.
