Dynamic Facilitator, Inspired Trainer, Compassionate CoachI have been designing, leading and managing highly successful educational and leadership development programs for over 30 years. Drawing on my own experience of successfully leading organizations through major change and my ability to connect with people at all levels, I have inspired thousands of managers, supervisors, executives, and educators to discover and build on their natural leadership strengths and grow new ones. In pursuing my M.S. degree in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts I gained a deep understanding of ecology and how the interrelationships of various organisms within a natural ecosystem leads to sustainability and the efficient use of resources. That knowledge greatly informs my ability to work with human designed systems and see the patterns and relationship building opportunities that lead to highly productive and sustainable businesses and organizations.Building a Sustainable Leadership ProgramI made the shift from environmental education to leadership development when serving as Director of the University of Rhode Island Environmental Center. There, I was introduced to the creativity and innovative nature of the corporate world as I developed and expanded the team building and leadership programs of the University of Rhode Island Executive Action Program.Through The Browne Center for Innovative Learning at the University of New Hampshire, I designed and led a multi-day leadership institute for a global Fortune 100 company which we have now led 50 times over an 18 year period with more than 1,200 leaders.
